Following the crisis in Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT, stated in a video posted by Channels Television that he and his team have decided to follow the way of peace but will not allow themselves to be dragged down.
The minister of FCT stated that no politician will allow himself to be dragged down because they have their own interests. He added that if they go down, there will be nobody to fight for their people.
According to him, “I’m a politician; I’m not a traditional ruler. Even though I have a title, it does not make me a traditional ruler. No politician will fold his hands and say, Be dragged down (no politician). Me and my team will accept peace, but we will not allow ourselves to be dragged down because when we go down, who will protect our people?”
