The House of Representatives is set to launch an investigation into over $4.6 billion in health grants received by Nigeria from the Global Fund and USAID between 2021 and 2025.

The funds — totalling more than $1.8 billion from the Global Fund and $2.8 billion from USAID — were allocated to tackle HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and to strengthen resilient and sustainable health systems.

The probe aims to assess how the funds were utilised and ensure accountability in the management of critical health resources.
