Timothy Osadolor, Deputy Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticised President Bola Tinubu for his recurrent overseas vacations, describing them as “highly insensitive” and a sign of distrust in Nigeria’s health care system.
Responding to the announcement of Tinubu’s upcoming 10-day trip to Europe, Osadolor accused the presidency of wasting taxpayers’ money on medical tourism. “The billions spent on estacodes, travel expenses for the president and his entourage could have been invested in improving our local health facilities,” he said.
Osadolor raised concerns over the neglected state of the Aso Rock Clinic, pointing out, “We have never heard that the president went to Aso Rock Villa to take a check-up or injection, but rather jetted abroad.”
He urged Tinubu to reconsider seeking re-election, arguing the administration has failed to deliver affordable healthcare and security.
“This government should apologise for its insensitivity and lack of capability, or Nigerians should reject it at the polls and seek a credible alternative,” Osadolor added.
