The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Professor Usman Ogbo, has announced a sweeping ban on students bringing cars, televisions, motorcycles and other personal items onto the university campus following a deadly cult-related clash that left a student dead.
The decision comes in the wake of the killing of a student identified as Dior, whose death has heightened concerns over security and cult-related activities within the institution.
University authorities said the new restrictions form part of broader measures aimed at restoring order, strengthening campus security and curbing activities believed to encourage criminal behaviour among students.

The administration has urged students to comply fully with the directive, warning that anyone found violating the new regulations will face disciplinary action.
The latest measures underscore the university’s determination to prevent further violence and ensure a safer learning environment after the fatal incident sent shockwaves through the campus community.
