Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun voted Saturday in the closely watched Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency by-election, commending the seamless conduct of the electoral process.

Casting his ballot at Polling Unit 002, Ita Osanyin, Iperu Ward 3 in Ikenne Local Government Area, Abiodun lauded the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for its meticulous preparation. Speaking to reporters, the governor expressed satisfaction with the early delivery of electoral materials and the robust voter turnout.

“I’m impressed with the feedback I received this morning—electoral materials arrived on time, and there’s a strong voter presence,” Abiodun said. “The process is peaceful, though in some areas, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) faced minor delays, likely due to weather conditions. Overall, everything is proceeding smoothly.”

Abiodun also praised INEC’s consistent improvements, noting, “Year after year, INEC raises the bar in delivering credible elections. They remain on top of their game.”
