The meeting comes as Nigeria continues to confront a range of security threats, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and communal violence, particularly in parts of the country’s north.
Beyond military and law-enforcement responses, discussions at the conference are expected to examine the role of religious institutions, community leaders and international partnerships in preventing radicalisation and promoting peace and stability.
