The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has scheduled the main online recruitment examination for Thursday, October 9, 2025, for candidates shortlisted in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres. This announcement was made public via the service’s official platforms on Tuesday.
Shortlisted applicants have been divided into three batches: A, B, and C. Each candidate is required to log in using their National Identification Number (NIN) through the official recruitment portal https://updates.customs.gov.ng to check their assigned batch, date, and examination time.
In a statement, the NCS emphasized that strict adherence to the assigned batch and timing is mandatory. Candidates who fail to comply may face disqualification.
“The Main Online Recruitment Examination for all shortlisted Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants has been scheduled for Thursday, 9th October 2025,” the notice read.
Furthermore, applicants are advised not to use calculators, mobile phones, or any other devices during the examination. The NCS also cautioned candidates against logging in multiple times or switching browser windows, as these actions may interfere with their participation in the exam.
The Customs Service clarified that this phase of the recruitment is exclusive to applicants in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres. Those applying for positions in the Superintendent cadre will participate in a later stage of the recruitment process. “Only Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants are to take part in this stage of the examination. Applicants of the Superintendent Cadre are not to participate at this stage,” the statement concluded.
Candidates should ensure they check their details in advance and adhere to all instructions provided to avoid any disruption during the recruitment process.
