The Congress also ratified the composition of the Electoral Committee and Electoral Appeals Committee, with members drawn from the nation’s six geopolitical zones.

In a separate development, Ernst & Young was appointed as the federation’s new independent auditor for an initial four-year term, succeeding PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The assembly formally set September 26, 2026, as the date for the next Elective Congress, which is scheduled to take place in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
