Nancy Mace has escalated her long-running feud with Ilhan Omar once again, renewing calls for the Minnesota Democrat to be stripped of her citizenship and deported to Somalia.

The South Carolina Republican has made the demand repeatedly in recent months, most recently after Homeland Security Investigations agents raided Omar’s home with a judicially authorized warrant. Mace wrote on social media, “I tried to subpoena Ilhan Omar and her brother-husband’s immigration records. Both parties blocked it in Oversight. This morning HSI raided her home with a judicially authorized warrant, presumably over the same paperwork. If the fraud is proven, she should be denaturalized and deported home to Somalia.”

The raid followed Mace’s push in January for the House Oversight and Accountability Committee to subpoena Omar and her brother, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, for immigration records during a hearing on fraud in Minnesota. The motion was tabled by members of both parties.

Mace has accused Omar of entering a legal marriage with Hirsi in 2009 to secure him immigration status, allegations Omar has repeatedly denied. “Knowingly entering into a marriage to evade U.S. immigration law is a felony punishable by prison time, substantial fines, denaturalization, and deportation,” Mace said at the time.

The animosity between the two lawmakers dates back at least to September, when Mace filed a resolution to censure Omar over comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The House voted 214-213 to table that measure.

Omar has not commented publicly on the latest raid. She has previously dismissed Mace’s accusations as politically motivated and said claims in past censure attempts contained no actual quotes from her.
