The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Geoffrey Nnaji, has resigned following revelations that he allegedly forged two academic certificates.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed Nnaji’s resignation on Tuesday, stating that President Bola Tinubu had accepted it.

Appointed in August 2023, Nnaji submitted his resignation letter thanking the President for the opportunity to serve, while claiming he had been the target of political blackmail.

President Tinubu, in response, expressed appreciation for Nnaji’s service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
