Kabiru Marafa, a former senator representing Zamfara Central, has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), blaming what he described as “political manipulation” within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His move comes at a turbulent time for the ADC, which has been embroiled in internal disputes. The crisis recently escalated after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) withdrew recognition of the party’s rival factional leaderships, following a 12 March Court of Appeal ruling.
