A significant political realignment is reportedly underway as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the immediate past presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, have reached an agreement to coalesce their political forces. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been designated as the official platform for this new opposition alliance.

Information obtained by DAILY POST from an undisclosed source indicates that the leaders finalized the terms of their collaboration during a meeting held on Tuesday night, which extended into the early hours of Wednesday.

The anonymous source confirmed the development, stating, “They have adopted the African Democratic Congress as the coalition party; all of them (Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai) are working together.” The source further elaborated that “all the leaders and stakeholders of the coalition were there,” and preparatory committees have been established to facilitate the public launch of the initiative.

“But effectively, as we speak, the coalition has been born, the conclusion meeting took place,” the source reiterated.
While the exact date for the official unveiling has not yet been disclosed, the source suggested it would be “sooner than later, very soon.”
