Renowned Fuji star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka Kwam 1, has been vindicated after a heated airport dispute. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) claimed the 68-year-old breached regulations by bringing alcohol aboard a ValueJet flight to Lagos. Kwam 1’s team slammed the allegations as “grossly exaggerated,” insisting the substance was merely water from the airport lounge.

The row escalated when a flight attendant demanded the singer’s removal, sparking a confrontation. However, Kwam 1’s spokesperson, Kunle Rasheed, clarified the musician adhered to all protocols and was unfairly targeted. Following the incident, FAAN, NCAA, and ValueJet’s top brass apologised and offered a private jet to Lagos, which Kwam 1 declined.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority suspended two pilots involved for breaching safety protocols, highlighting their “irrational” actions. Kwam 1, a respected global artiste, remains cooperative, urging the public to seek the truth and avoid sensationalism.
