The Kuwait Ministry of Defence has confirmed that several United States military aircraft were involved in crashes within Kuwaiti territory, triggering an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incidents.

In a brief statement issued on Monday, the ministry said emergency response teams were swiftly deployed to the affected areas to secure the sites and assess potential damage. Authorities did not immediately disclose the number of aircraft involved, the extent of casualties, or the operational status of the missions at the time of the crashes.

The United States maintains a significant military presence in Kuwait as part of long-standing defence cooperation between the two countries. The Gulf nation hosts key American military installations, including Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base, which serve as strategic hubs for operations across the region.

Officials said a joint inquiry involving Kuwaiti and US military authorities has been launched to determine the cause of the crashes. Preliminary assessments suggest technical or operational factors may be under review, though no official conclusion has been announced.

The incidents come amid heightened regional security activity, with US forces frequently conducting training exercises and operational missions in coordination with Gulf allies.
