Aloy Ejimakor, legal counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, has firmly dismissed swirling rumours suggesting that his client’s appeal process has stalled, insisting there is no cause for alarm.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ejimakor emphasised that the legal proceedings surrounding Kanu—leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra—are progressing as expected, with no unusual delays.

He urged members of the public and observers to disregard speculation circulating in some quarters that the appeal had been abandoned, describing such claims as unfounded and misleading. According to him, the legal team remains fully engaged and committed to seeing the process through.

The reassurance comes amid heightened public interest in the case, which has continued to attract national and international attention. Ejimakor’s remarks seek to calm tensions and reaffirm confidence in the judicial process as Kanu’s appeal moves forward.
