In Kogi State, Man lures friend to cemetery, slits his throat.

A 19-year-old student of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Usman Tijani, was Tuesday attacked by his friend who lured him to a Muslim burial ground and slit his throat.
Tijani, who operates a Point of Sale (POS) was allegedly lured by the friend, Abdulmuqeet Musari, to the burial ground, slit his throat and robbed him of the money he used in operating the POS.
One of the family members of the victim, Zainab Avosuahi, who narrated the incident, revealed that the suspect, Tuesday, allegedly lured her nephew into the burial ground and collected the sum of N200,000 from him.
Avosuahi said her nephew, a 19-year-old who operates a POS business, is currently undergoing surgery in a Lokoja hospital while the suspect is on the run.
“We received a shocking call from my sister on Tuesday that left us devastated. Please this is a call for justice for my nephew whom his friend lured to the bush, collected N200, 000 from him and still had his throat butchered.”
The suspect was later apprehended by the vigilante and security architecture of the local government who followed him to a neighbouring community in Ekiti.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Williams Aya, confirmed the incident and the arrest of the suspect.

He said the suspect has been arrested and he is currently in Police custody, adding that investigation is ongoing and he will be arraigned in court after the completion of investigation.
