Veteran actor Zack Orji has lashed out at Nigerians who blame every empty pot on President Bola Tinubu, saying most of them simply recycle unverified social-media claims instead of checking the facts.

Appearing on the KaaTruths podcast, Orji recalled how, during a visit to the United Kingdom last year, some Nigerians cornered him: “Why are you supporting Tinubu?”

He said he shot back: “He’s my country’s president. Should I refuse to support him if I believe he’s on the right track? Reforms need time—they break the old order to build a new one.”

Orji insisted the administration’s policies are already showing results, pointing to falling food prices in several markets.

When the host countered that ordinary people feel the pain of hunger daily and don’t need spreadsheets to know the economy is biting, the actor replied: “Hunger is a universal issue; it didn’t start with Tinubu.”

He also declared Tinubu the most qualified contender for the 2027 election.
