Governor Abdullahi Sule has pledged that no project initiated by his administration will be left uncompleted or unpaid, as he unveiled an ambitious 2026 commissioning timetable spanning key sectors across Nasarawa State.

The governor made the commitment while outlining his administration’s development roadmap, stressing that fiscal discipline, transparency and continuity would remain the cornerstones of his governance philosophy.

Sule declared that his government would not burden future administrations with abandoned contracts or outstanding liabilities, assuring contractors and residents alike that every duly awarded project would be seen through to completion in line with agreed specifications.

“We are determined to leave a legacy of integrity and performance,” the governor said. “Every project we have started will be completed, and every legitimate obligation will be honoured. Nasarawa people deserve nothing less.”

Statewide Commissioning Schedule

According to the 2026 plan, projects earmarked for commissioning cut across infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture and urban development. The schedule includes the delivery of major road networks to boost connectivity between rural and urban communities, new and upgraded healthcare facilities aimed at improving access to quality medical services, and educational infrastructure designed to enhance learning outcomes.

The administration is also set to unveil agricultural initiatives targeted at strengthening food security and expanding economic opportunities for farmers, alongside urban renewal projects intended to modernise public spaces and stimulate local enterprise.

Focus on Accountability

Governor Sule emphasised that the commissioning drive is underpinned by prudent financial management and strategic partnerships. He noted that ongoing monitoring mechanisms have been strengthened to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.

Stakeholders have described the announcement as a bold signal of the government’s intention to consolidate its development strides and reinforce public confidence.

As preparations gather pace for the 2026 commissioning cycle, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deliver tangible dividends of democracy across all local government areas of the state.

“Our focus remains on sustainable development,” Sule added. “We are building not just for today, but for the future of Nasarawa State.”
