Governor Similanayi Fubara has issued a bold statement to Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, asserting that he still holds “the red biro” in his possession.

Delivered during a Crossover service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of the state on January 1, Fubara’s declaration was shared by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi.

Expressing unwavering faith in God’s power to overcome perceived enemies of the state, Fubara led attendees in a spirited rendition of a gallantry song emphasizing God’s supremacy and kingship.

“The Red Biro remains with me, and the enemy’s plans will continue to falter,” Fubara declared, emphasizing his belief in divine protection and triumph.

Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Niger Delta, Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja, echoed Fubara’s sentiment, acknowledging the challenges of the past year but urging the congregation to embrace gratitude and faith for a victorious new year.

As prayers were offered for peace, unity, progress, and development in the state, Fubara reinforced his commitment to the goals outlined in the State Government’s 2025 Budget of Inclusive Growth and Development.
