Fire Guts Afriland Towers; Inverter Room Suspected Cause

A fire broke out on Tuesday at Afriland Towers, the corporate headquarters of Afriland Properties Plc on Broad Street, Lagos Island.

According to a statement from the company, initial reports suggest the fire originated in the inverter room. The blaze quickly spread smoke throughout the building, affecting emergency exits. The Federal Fire Service, Lagos State Fire Service, and other emergency services were immediately called to the scene and managed to contain the fire and its spread.

Afriland Properties has expressed its deep regret over the incident and extended its condolences to all those impacted. The company is currently working with relevant authorities as an investigation begins to determine the full cause of the incident.
