The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be on alert amid escalating reports from the United States alleging killings of Christians in Nigeria.
The US government had criticised the Nigerian administration over the alleged killings, with President Trump reportedly threatening military action in the country. In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said he had been warning about American interference in Tinubu’s government for months but was ignored.
Ayodele described the allegations as part of an orchestrated plan by the opposition to remove Tinubu from power in 2027 or before. “I have been talking about America fighting Tinubu’s government, but they didn’t take cognizance. When I spoke about the coup, some political commentators criticised it, but what has happened now?” he said.
He added that critics had labelled him a “permutation prophet” or a doom‑monger, but maintained that his warnings had been coming to pass. “Some call me permutation prophet, some call me doom, but everything has been coming to pass,” he said.
Primate Ayodele warned that the campaign was intended to weaken Tinubu’s government and silence the president to allow the opposition to gain ground. He claimed opposition figures had concluded deals with some international actors to secure support for removing Tinubu from office.
“It’s a gang‑up plan to remove you from office. Don’t sleep, more is coming. He needs to seek the face of God. The American government doesn’t want Tinubu in 2027,” Ayodele said, urging the government to “get to work.”
