Trouble appears to be brewing in the household of billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, with signs of discord surfacing between his youngest wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, and his fifth wife, Moroccan-born Laila Charani.
Recent social media activity indicates that both Nwoko and Daniels have unfollowed Laila on Instagram. In a seemingly reciprocal action, Laila has also unfollowed the couple, sparking speculation about the state of their relationship.
This turn of events is surprising, especially considering that just a week prior, Regina Daniels had responded positively to a public love declaration made by Laila. In her post, Laila shared a romantic video celebrating her 14-year marriage to Nwoko, expressing her belief in the lasting nature of their bond. She mentioned her reluctance to take pictures but emphasized that her husband holds a special place in her heart.
Regina publicly affirmed Laila’s sentiments, declaring that Nwoko was hers forever.
This isn’t the first instance of tension between Laila and Nwoko. In 2021, Laila ended their marriage, citing personal challenges and conflicts she attributed to Regina Daniels. However, by September 2022, she issued a heartfelt apology to both Nwoko and Daniels, attributing her actions to external influences.
At that time, her apology seemed to mend fences, as Nwoko publicly acknowledged her gesture, reaffirming his love for her in January 2023. In the months that followed, Regina even referred to Laila and Nwoko’s relationship as “couple goals,” suggesting that harmony had returned to their household.
This latest fallout raises questions about what might have gone wrong. Earlier this year, Laila actively participated in celebrating family milestones, including congratulating Nwoko and Daniels on their fifth wedding anniversary in May.
