The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has extended his congratulatory message to Christian faithfuls and all Nigerians as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Achuba stressed on the profound significance of Christmas, which commemorates the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester.

He said Christmas represents a time of hope, renewal, and celebration, while reminding Christian faithfuls of the importance of kindness, compassion, generosity, and love.

The former Deputy Governor said the birth of Jesus Christ brought good tidings to mankind, maintaining that it is another time for Christians and followers of Christ to reflect on the purpose of his birth.

He said: “As we mark the birth of Jesus Christ, who brought light and redemption to humanity, let us reflect on the values that He embodied: love, forgiveness, and selflessness. May His example inspire us to spread love, kindness, and compassion to all those around us, especially those who may be struggling.

“May this special season bring you joy, peace, and love. May your heart be filled with the warmth and miracle of the holiday season.

“As God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, it is important to recognize that the reason for the season is the sacrifice of our Heavenly Father and similarly replicate this example in our relationship with others”.

He urged the citizens to remain steadfast in their faith and continue to pray for the country and not to be frustrated as a result of the present situation of the country.

On Kogites, the former Deputy governor enjoined the Christian faithfuls in the state to continue to maintain peace and unity as they celebrate the Christmas which signifies light in darkness.

He further urged them to express love and kindness to all their neighbours and continue to do so even after the season, stating that “we are one in Christ Jesus and will remain one”.
