The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed the outcome of the recent by-elections in Rivers, Kano, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), describing the results as a definitive public endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a statement released on Sunday in Lagos, the party asserted that the victories secured by its candidates demonstrate widespread confidence in the President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and his ongoing economic reforms.

The Lagos APC Spokesman, Mr. Seye Oladejo, characterized the electoral wins as a direct mandate from the people, validating the party’s progressive governance model.

“The outcome of the by-elections across the affected constituencies stands as a clear and unmistakable referendum on the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and the progressive ideals guiding governance in our nation,” Oladejo stated.

“The resounding victories recorded by our candidates reaffirm the confidence of the electorate in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the transformative policies being implemented at both the federal and state levels.”

Mr. Oladejo extended the party’s gratitude to voters in Rivers, Kano, the FCT, and other constituencies for what he termed their “overwhelming support.” He noted that the results signal public recognition of the administration’s efforts in bold leadership, economic revitalization, infrastructural development, and institutional strengthening.

The APC spokesman framed the election results as a rebuttal to critics of the government, emphasizing that the voice of the people has been clearly expressed through the ballot box.

“At a time when detractors and opposition elements have sought to misrepresent the direction of the country, the people have spoken decisively,” he said. “These results demonstrate that nation-building requires patience, courage and continuity.”

Oladejo also offered a pointed analysis of modern political campaigning, suggesting that the opposition’s significant activity on social media failed to resonate with actual voters.

“The amplified noise of the opposition across digital platforms did not translate into real electoral penetration or public acceptance when it mattered most – at the ballot box,” he remarked. “Democracy is ultimately decided by voters, not virtual trends.”

The statement also acknowledged the effective role of electoral institutions in the process. Oladejo commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the polls and praised security agencies for their role in maintaining peace and order throughout the exercise.

Furthermore, he lauded the party’s faithful, campaign teams, and volunteers for their grassroots mobilization and dedication, which he credited as key factors in the party’s success.

Reiterating the Lagos APC’s unwavering support for President Tinubu, the spokesman pledged the party’s continued commitment to deepening democracy and delivering good governance to all Nigerians.

“The by-election victories are not merely political wins; they constitute a renewed mandate to work harder in service of the people,” Oladejo concluded.
