Lagos, Nigeria – Grammy-winning sensation Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has gifted street-hop artist Portable a substantial sum of N20 million in celebration of his victory over Speed Darlington in their highly anticipated celebrity boxing match.
Portable, the acclaimed singer behind the hit track “Zazoo Zeh,” took to his verified Instagram account to confirm the generous gift via his Insta-stories.
The boxing event, aptly titled “Chaos In The Ring,” took place on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. Portable secured a decisive win against Speed Darlington, who reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during the bout and required assistance into an ambulance afterward.
Notably, Burna Boy and Speed Darlington have a history of strained relations. Speed Darlington had previously accused Burna Boy of allegedly leveraging an inappropriate connection with American rapper Diddy to secure his Grammy Award.
In a gesture of celebration following Portable’s triumph over his former detractor, Burna Boy gifted the “Zazu” crooner N20 million.
Portable publicly acknowledged the N20 million gift from Burna Boy, stating on his Instagram: “N20million from Burna Boy, if you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu. God bless your family.”
