August 1, 2025 – BUA Foods Plc, a powerhouse in Nigeria’s food industry, has unveiled its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2025, showcasing a remarkable 36% revenue surge to N912.5 billion, up from N672.4 billion in H1 2024. The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) skyrocketed by 101% to N276.1 billion, as reported to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX).
Fueled by robust growth across its Sugar, Flour, Pasta, and Rice divisions, BUA Foods achieved a standout performance, with the Rice segment stealing the spotlight through an extraordinary 2923% revenue leap to N39.3 billion. This underscores the success of the company’s strategic expansion into Nigeria’s rice value chain.
Key financial highlights include a 55% rise in Gross Profit to N339.3 billion, with an improved gross margin of 37.2%, up from 32.4%. Operating Profit climbed 41% to N284.8 billion, while Earnings per Share (EPS) nearly doubled to N14.45 from N7.27. The company’s balance sheet remains rock-solid, with Total Assets growing 21.7% to N1.33 trillion and Total Equity soaring 60.6% to N689.1 billion.

Despite macroeconomic challenges, our investments in backward integration and manufacturing expansion continue to drive sustainable growth,” he said.
