From reliable sources making the rounds in Nasarawa State, emerged that a two-time governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is set to dump the party to accept a deputy governorship position under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was made known following findings which reliably concluded that the PDP candidate, Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, is set to succumb to pressure by accepting to deputize the current Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Honourable Ahmed Musa, should he emerge as APC flagbearer.

It would be recalled that David Ombugadu, a two-time candidate, has been the backbone of PDP since 2019, and in 2023 he struggled to clinch the seat, but nature deterred him due to political permutation.

However, and going forward, there is an ongoing permutation beyond the usual mathematics, and if that be, the most popular aspirant will be elected.

On this premise, two politicians are likely to be elected, who are Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu and Dr. Mohammed Musa Maikaya.

While this last the only person with a lovable population will emerge under the APC to succeed Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

While we keep our fingers crossed as the election programmes unfold ,there is likely going to realignments which if not guided the opposition will unseat the APC
