Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has officially distanced herself from a purported apology letter circulating in various online media outlets.
In an exclusive statement to OBSERVERS TIMES, the media office of the senator clarified that the alleged letter is a fabrication and does not originate from Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan or her office. The aide, who requested anonymity, emphasized, “The so-called letter is fake, forged, and manipulated. It never came from the senator representing Kogi Central.”
This clarification follows a recent incident where the Nigerian Senate suspended a female senator after she accused its presiding officer of sexual harassment. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was barred from her office with her allowances and security detail suspended for six months following her allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who has categorically denied the claims.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s office urges the public to disregard the false letter and any associated narratives. The senator remains committed to her role and the welfare of her constituents in Kogi Central.
