The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to 8 February and announced a fresh timetable for its ward congresses and national convention, as part of resolutions reached at its 183rd National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja.

In a statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the NWC said the decision followed appeals from stakeholders seeking more time to complete registration and membership validation.

According to the statement, the e-registration, initially scheduled to close on 31 January 2026, will now run until 8 February 2026 to accommodate more supporters and members across the country.

The party also fixed its ward congresses for Wednesday, 18 February 2026, while the APC National Convention has been rescheduled to 27–28 March 2026.

However, the NWC announced that Osun and Ekiti states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), would be excluded from the scheduled congresses owing to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was also excluded due to the subsisting tenure of the current state executive committees.

The statement further disclosed that a National Convention Planning Committee has been constituted to oversee preparations for the convention.

Morka added that comprehensive details regarding the revised timetable, schedule of activities, and the composition of the planning committee would be made public in due course.
