APC Reschedules National Assembly Primaries in Zamfara

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a new timetable for its primary elections in Zamfara state.

In a statement issued on Friday, Felix Morka, national publicity secretary of the party, said the rescheduled exercise would commence with the house of representatives primaries on May 18.

The party announced that the senate primaries would be held on May 19.

According to the timetable released by the APC, the house of assembly primaries are scheduled for May 20.

The governorship primary election will be held on May 21. The party also fixed May 23 for its presidential primary election.

The APC said appeals arising from the house of representatives primary would be heard on May 19.

Appeals from the senate primary election are scheduled for May 20. The party fixed May 21 for appeals arising from the house of assembly primary election.

According to the timetable, appeals from the governorship primary election will be held on May 22.

The APC had earlier postponed its house of representatives primary election nationwide to May 16.

The party said other previously announced dates for the senate, state house of assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries remain unchanged.
