The All Progressives Congress (APC) has sworn in Nentawe Yilwatda, Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as its new national chairman.
The 56-year-old was appointed at 2:50 p.m. during a lively National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa’s Banquet Hall.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma proposed Yilwatda’s candidacy, seconded by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen.
He succeeds Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down on 27 June 2025. Yilwatda’s leadership promises a bold new era for the APC!
