A Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has denied bail to young politician and media Activist, Ibrahim Kabiru Dallah in the suit filed by the Commissioner of Police.

The court also adjourned the case to January 21, 2026, and ordered his continued remand at the Lafia Correctional Centre.

Dallah had been arraigned on December 4 by the police on a seven-count cyberbullying charge following a petition by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji.

The defendant, in a series of Facebook posts, allegedly referred to the petitioner as a man with a potbelly, an economic terrorist, a serial liar, and a fraudulent person who attained the rank of SAN through the backdoor, which he claimed to have evidence for.

He also alleged that the petitioner is an indigene of Katsina State but is using his current position with the Nasarawa State Government to divert development and state funds to Suleja, Niger State, where he resides.

In his petition to the Commissioner of Police, Magaji said the posts were false and made to cause annoyance, inconvenience, enmity, and hatred, contrary to and punishable under the Cybercrime Act, 2024, as amended.

When the seven-count cyberbullying charge was read to him in court, the defendant pleaded not guilty.
