Jane Edidiong Ufot, daughter of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, has made a shocking public accusation via social media, claiming her father “sacrificed” her late mother, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno. The former First Lady passed away in September 2024 from an undisclosed illness.
According to Peoples Gazzete Mrs. Ufot, who serves as a Senior Special Adviser to the governor on health, safety, and environment, vehemently stated in a video that she would not suffer the same fate as her mother. She explicitly alleged a “sinister threat” to her own life and that of her young daughter.
“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” Mrs. Ufot declared.
In a disturbing moment, Mrs. Ufot handed her phone to her little daughter, who appeared to be on a video call with Governor Eno. The child, seemingly prompted, asked, “So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us? Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?” The identity of “them” was not clear, and there was no audible response from the governor during the exchange.
Mrs. Ufot further asserted that her life was in danger due to undisclosed “revelations” that are expected to surface soon. “If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” she cried out.
Attempts to reach the governor’s media aide, Ekerete Udoh, for comment on these grave accusations were unsuccessful, as his line was switched off.
