Senator David Mark, Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has declared that the party will not tolerate candidate imposition, anti-party activities, or indiscipline. Speaking at a National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, Mark vowed to lead with integrity, transparency, and fairness.
He praised the outgoing Chairman, Chief Ralph Nwosu, for his dedication and for stepping down in the national interest. Mark promised to uphold internal democracy, ensure accountability, and foster inclusive leadership, with 35% of roles reserved for women and significant representation for youths under 40.
The new National Working Committee will review the party’s manifesto and constitution to align with Nigerians’ aspirations. A 50-member policy committee will soon be unveiled, focusing on key sectors like health, education, and security. Mark urged members to engage at the grassroots and invited all Nigerians to join the ADC, promoting it as a party of equal opportunity.
Chief Nwosu highlighted the ADC’s growth, noting a surge in membership, with millions registering nationwide. He called on democratic institutions to uphold their mandates. ADC chieftain Godson Okoye expressed optimism, describing the party as poised to drive Nigeria’s economic prosperity.
