A New Year’s Message to the People of Nigeria
As we welcome 2026, we take a moment to reflect on our journey as a nation and as a people united in purpose.
The road has been marked by challenges—economic uncertainty, security threats, and moments that demanded our collective strength.
Yet, through it all, Nigerians have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, courage, and an indomitable spirit. This resilience continues to define our national character.
The new year offers a fresh opportunity to learn from our experiences, adjust our course where needed, and forge a future that reflects our immense potential.
With renewed hope and shared resolve, we must work together to build a Nigeria where prosperity is inclusive, governance is transparent and service-driven, and opportunities are accessible to all—especially our youth, women, and future generations.
To our leaders, we urge meaningful and sustained reforms that prioritize the well-being of the people. Governance must embody empathy, competence, and an unwavering dedication to the common good. Trust is earned when leaders listen, act with integrity, and place national interest above all else.
To every citizen, in every corner of the nation: your voice, engagement, and unity are essential. Building a stronger Nigeria is a shared responsibility. Let us continue to participate constructively, hold institutions to account, and contribute positively through our actions, our work, and our commitment to peace and unity.
As we step into 2026, may it be a year of tangible progress—safer communities, a more stable economy, greater job opportunities, and a deepened sense of national pride. May hope inspire action, and promises turn into meaningful change.
Let us continue to believe in Nigeria’s promise—and, more importantly, let us work together, with that promise to life.
God bless you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
