BREAKING: Gunmen Storm Kogi Secondary School, Abduct Principal, NECO Supervisor, Four Students

Armed gunmen have invaded Government Science Secondary School, Opada-Olowa, in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting the school principal, a National Examinations Council (NECO) supervisor, and four students.

The incident reportedly occurred this afternoon, at approximately 2:00 PM, while students were in the middle of writing their ongoing NECO examinations.

The abducted school officials have been identified as the Principal, Mr. Nyada Daniel, and the NECO supervisor, Mr. Solomon Audu. The names of the four abducted students have not yet been released by school authorities.

According to local sources, the heavily armed attackers stormed the school premises, shooting sporadically to scare away teachers and students before seizing their targets. The gunmen fled the scene with the victims before security operatives could arrive.

As of the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the victims remain unknown, and no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.

Efforts to reach the Kogi State Police Command for official confirmation and updates on rescue operations are currently ongoing.
