Presidency has disowned Adeniyi Adeyemi, accusing him of forging an appointment letter purportedly issued by the Office of the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and using it to impersonate a senior government official.

The Presidency alleged that Adeyemi operated 34 bank accounts under fictitious government agency names and fraudulently lured foreign diplomats into attending meetings under the guise of official government business.

Authorities said the suspect is facing an eight-count criminal charge before the Federal High Court in Abuja over the alleged offences.
