Afrobeats star Davido has once again shown his playful side after a fan made an unusual demand concerning his upcoming Nigerian tour.
The fan, in a direct message shared by the singer on Instagram, urged him to drop his private jet and use commercial flights for one month as a way of “humbling” other artistes.
The message read: “David, please can you do a protest on behalf of us that book artistes for gigs and also for people who fly commercial planes in general. Just one month of you flying commercial flights for this, your Naija tour. It will trend and humble every other artiste because na you cause all this wahala. So you just reverse am.”
Instead of reacting with anger, Davido responded with multiple laughing emojis, showing that he took the request in good humour.
The singer’s light-hearted reaction quickly went viral, sparking debates among fans.
One Instagram user, @mitchy.finer, said: “Them go use beg and billing finish am for commercial.”
Another, @blessed_mikky, noted: “If not this guy, celebrities for dey feel like God but he came and made everybody understand in this world we come and go.”
However, some critics argued that the request was unrealistic. @rutie_xx wrote: “Poor man pikin dey advise rich man.”
