The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked rumors circulating among local government council chairmen and councillors claiming that they are not to resume their positions. The party stated that these false reports are the work of individuals with ulterior motives and encouraged the reinstated officials to carry on with their duties.

The APC emphasized that the recent Court of Appeal ruling reinstating the local government chairmen and councillors is the basis for their return to office. The party urged the officials to ignore the misinformation and continue serving their communities.

Additionally, the APC called on law enforcement agencies in the state to be vigilant in maintaining peace in all local government council areas. They also called on parents to caution their children against being manipulated as political thugs by individuals seeking to disrupt the peace of the state.

The recent local government elections in the state were peaceful, with Governor Adeleke casting his vote early in the day. Adeleke later inaugurated the newly elected officials, reminding them to prioritize good governance and warning against any attempts to unlawfully occupy council offices.
