The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has released a startling prophecy regarding the 2027 general elections, claiming that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will be persuaded to step aside for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric alleged that a powerful coalition of international bodies and domestic power brokers is already orchestrating the move. According to Ayodele, the African Union (AU), European Union (EU), United Kingdom, and United States are collaborating with local figures—including General TY Danjuma, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo—to facilitate this transition.
Ayodele noted that the strategy aims to present Jonathan as a consensus candidate to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with the understanding that Jonathan would serve only a single term.
“They will compel Jonathan to join the coalition and ensure he gets the ticket to contest against Tinubu in 2027,” Ayodele stated. “It will be a difficult move, but the planning is already underway. These meetings began in late December, yet the Presidency remains unaware of the maneuvers.”
The prophet also warned of increasing international pressure on the current administration, suggesting that a Trump-led U.S. government would act as a major opposition to Tinubu’s second-term bid. He urged the Nigerian government to be wary of foreign interference in the upcoming electoral cycle.
