Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has categorically denied rumors suggesting that he has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A close aide to El-Rufai informed Channels Television that the speculation is the work of mischief-makers, emphasizing that a prominent political figure like El-Rufai would not switch parties without making an official announcement.

In a statement on his verified X account (formerly Twitter), El-Rufai urged the public to disregard what he termed “patent lies” regarding his political affiliation.

“Please disregard the patent lies and rumors about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” he wrote on Sunday.

El-Rufai’s firm response underscores his commitment to addressing misinformation and maintaining transparency regarding his political stance.
