**Party alleges bias toward APC, vows to resist ‘One-Party State’ following derecognition.*

The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called for the immediate resignation or sack of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, alongside all National Commissioners.

In a press briefing held in Abuja on Thursday, the party declared a total loss of confidence in the electoral body, alleging that the commission has become an extension of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator David Mark, speaking on behalf of the party following the recent derecognition of the ADC, described the current INEC leadership as “incapable” of conducting a credible general election in 2027.

“We are convinced that they are taking sides. We no longer have confidence in them,” Mark stated. Despite the derecognition, Mark maintained that the ADC would proceed with its party programs, arguing that INEC’s attendance is not a legal prerequisite for party activities.

The party further called on the international community to intervene, citing the events of April 1st as a “clear threat to Nigeria’s democracy.”
