The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has urged corps members and staff to intensify their efforts in fulfilling their noble assignments. This call comes as part of a collective resolve to sustain the vigorous implementation of their mandate to foster national unity, integration, and development in Nigeria.
In a statement released by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the DG extended heartfelt greetings to the staff and corps members for the new year. He expressed gratitude for their resilience and unwavering commitment to duty at their respective locations, which contributed to the unprecedented successes achieved in 2024.
General Ahmed expressed optimism that 2025 will bring even greater accomplishments in their efforts to expand development across all critical sectors of the national economy.
Reiterating his commitment to engaging relevant stakeholders, he emphasized the importance of making facilities and opportunities available for empowerment through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program. He urged all corps members to actively participate and fully utilize these opportunities for their personal development.
The DG also acknowledged the invaluable support of collaborating agencies and stakeholders, assuring them of increased opportunities for engagement in the new year.
He concluded by affirming that the management of NYSC will continue to enhance its statutory responsibilities to Nigerians, striving to build on its commendable achievements as it anticipates a rewarding and prosperous 2025.
