The All Progressives Congress (APC) has triumphed in the Ghari/Tsanyawa supplementary election held in Kano State.

The result, announced on Sunday, saw Garba Gwarmai of the APC securing 31,472 votes, surpassing Yusuf Maigado of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who received 27,931 votes.

The supplementary election followed the declaration of the initial poll in the constituency as inconclusive. Gwarmai’s victory, with a margin of 3,541 votes, is a significant boost for the APC, strengthening the party’s foothold in Kano State. The victory adds to the party’s ongoing efforts to solidify its influence across the region.
