Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has firmly rejected claims suggesting he is at odds with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the reports as “baseless fabrications” aimed at creating political tension.
In a statement issued on Monday and circulated via Politics Nigeria, Bello insisted that his relationship with the President remains cordial and respectful. He stressed that no disagreement exists between them, contrary to what he characterised as “deliberate misinformation” being pushed by certain political actors.
Bello stated that he continues to support the President’s agenda and urged the public to disregard narratives designed to sow division within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He further cautioned against the spread of unfounded allegations that could mislead citizens, adding that the nation requires unity and focus as the government pursues its reform programmes.
The former governor’s remarks come amid heightened political speculation in recent weeks, with analysts noting that rumours of rifts among senior party figures tend to resurface during periods of internal party repositioning.
Bello reiterated his “unwavering loyalty” to the President and affirmed that he remains committed to the success of the current administration.
