The Federal Government has unveiled ambitious plans to revitalise the Kaduna Textile industry, a key move to bolster Nigeria’s economic growth. Speaking at a two-day government-citizen engagement session in Kaduna on Tuesday, Sen. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, outlined the initiative.

Leading a delegation of President Bola Tinubu’s northern appointees, Akume underscored Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to balanced national development. “President Tinubu is driving progress across eight critical sectors to ensure holistic growth,” he stated. “Our goal is to rekindle the glory days of Kaduna Textile, spearheading industrialisation to strengthen Nigeria’s economy.”

Akume highlighted that, just two years and two months into Tinubu’s tenure, the administration is already delivering transformative results through diversification and industrial revival.
