The governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has pledged decisive action against rogue elements within Nigeria’s security forces following renewed violence in Barkin Ladi.

Speaking in the aftermath of the unrest, Mutfwang said Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not condone misconduct or compromise within the nation’s security architecture.

“I can assure you that the President and Commander-in-Chief will not accept or tolerate any bad eggs among the security forces,” the governor said.

The remarks come amid heightened concerns over security lapses and allegations of complicity by some operatives during recurring attacks in parts of Plateau State, a region long plagued by communal and sectarian violence.

Mutfwang said authorities would move against any personnel found wanting, stressing that accountability within the security agencies remains critical to restoring public confidence and stabilising affected communities.
