President Bola Tinubu on Sunday, 28 December, departed Lagos for Europe as he continues his end-of-year break ahead of a scheduled official visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement released by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency disclosed that President Tinubu is travelling to the UAE at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
According to the statement, the Nigerian leader will participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit, which is set to take place in early January.
The high-level summit will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss solutions for a sustainable future.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after completing his engagements in the UAE.
