Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as the most supportive in Nigeria’s history towards governors and sub-national governments—declaring it unlikely that any governor would oppose Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Speaking at the opening of a two-day interactive session on citizen-government engagement, organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) at Arewa House, Kaduna, Governor Sani praised President Tinubu’s unprecedented commitment to inclusive governance.

“No president in Nigeria’s history has supported governors and sub-national governments the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing,” Sani said.

“As a result, I don’t see any governor going against him.”

Governor Sani further commended the federal government’s willingness to engage non-state actors in addressing critical issues affecting Northern Nigeria—describing it as a bold and historic shift in national policy.

“For the first time in Nigeria’s history, the government is sitting down with non-state actors to assess progress and tackle challenges in the North,” he said.

“This is a remarkable and much-needed departure from the past.”

The event brought together political leaders, civil society representatives, and key stakeholders to discuss strategies for improving public trust and transparency in governance.
