Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Wednesday led governors and senior figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in formally submitting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nomination forms to the party’s National Working Committee.
The move signals a major show of unity within the ruling party as Tinubu positions himself ahead of the next phase of the political process, with top APC stakeholders publicly reaffirming their support for his leadership.
Governors elected on the APC platform, alongside key party chieftains, accompanied the vice president during the submission, underscoring what party insiders describe as a coordinated effort to consolidate backing around Tinubu’s candidacy.
The event also highlighted the growing momentum within the ruling party as political alignments and strategic endorsements continue to shape Nigeria’s evolving electoral landscape ahead of future contests.
